As for the narrative and characters, I’m happy for more needless celebrities to fill the ranks and provide us with a story that makes no sense, but we happily come along for the ride anyway. Some of my casting choices include Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey, Jared Leto, Brendan Fraser, and Adam Sandler. Let’s get weird. I’d be more than satisfied with more of the same, but with Kojima we know the end result will be something else entirely. Just look at Metal Gear Solid – across five main entries and several spin-offs not one of them has the same underlying formula. Stealth, the CODEC, and a few other systems remain untouched, but there are always unexpected new ideas front and centre making each game fundamentally distinct.
Thanks to his career renaissance as the titular character in the John Wick film series, Keanu Reeves has never been more beloved. He recently appeared in the highly-anticipated yet divisive Cyberpunk 2077 as the charismatic Johnny Silverhand, and fans widely praised his performance despite being disappointed with the game as a finished prod
It would be an exhausting task to cover Troy Baker ‘s entire career, and the discussed roles represent just the highlights. Through Troy, numerous video game characters have had life breathed into them and have become memorable figures in gaming history. Despite the extensive amount of work he has done in the realm of video games, it seems as though he has no plans to stop any time soon. On social media, Troy has posted images of himself and Roger Clarke, who plays Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2 . Although details on the project they are working on have yet to reach the public, anything involving the two industry veterans is sure to be excit
One of the most recognizable characters from the franchise, Vaas’ interesting and sadistic monologue about his musing on what insanity is instantly captured the attention of viewers. Years on, the monologue still holds its weight and resonates with players. The monologue mirrors Vaas’ and the protagonist’s (Jason’s) endless loop of trying to kill one another, and both characters are very much insane to some deg
Kojima has said that he considered casting Keanu Reeves as Death Stranding villain Cliff, a role that went to Mads Mikkelsen. Kojima’s affinity for Mikkelsen has been well-documented, but there’s still room for Reeves in Kojima’s cinematic Death Stranding narrative . Reeves is no stranger to video games or sci-fi stories, and his casting would add to a potential sequel’s prestige and star po
Kojima and Reedus are just guys being dudes. Absolute besties sitting five feet apart in the green room because they’re not gay. Their friendship has been a sweet side effect of Death Stranding, with the duo clearly having a blast creating a project they’re both enamoured with. Deep down it’s all a bunch of melodramatic, nonsensical bullshit, but the creative vision at the game’s core is so unapologetic that it’s no surprise the studio’s debut has been such a success. If I could make a game with all of my celebrity friends I would, so good on Kojima.
Death Stranding 2 weapons Stranding 2 could be anything, and that’s the most beautiful thing any of us could hope for. With its predecessor a proven success, Kojima should have the creative freedom to build upon it in whatever way he sees fit. That’s a dangerous thing to consider, but also such an exciting one. The original game is so brilliant because it was unlike anything we’d ever played before, a deliberate attempt to exist outside the mainstream box while simultaneously standing alongside Sony’s other exclusives with little hesitation.
NDAs clearly have no power over the rowdy biker, who was more than happy to talk about how he landed the role and how it felt to work alongside Hideo Kojima (and how different Death Stranding is from Ms. Pac-Man), all before letting us know that apparently he is already back on the volume to return to his role as Sam Porter Bridges. The developer himself responded to the recent news with a playful tweet featuring himself and Reedus, threatening to bludgeon his face in with a baseball bat for leaking the game’s existence. It’s a fun little nod to The Walking Dead , while also making it clear there are no hard feelings between the two.
It’s unclear which of Kojima’s favorite actors would be invited to join the Death Stranding universe if there were a sequel, but there are some performers who feel especially suited to starring in a Kojima game. From actors Kojima has worked with before to some who may not be aware of his work, here are the actors who would be the best additions to Death Stranding
A lot of different factors need to come together to create a good video game. A team of amazing artists needs to create a world that is visually attractive and complements the themes of the game, and characters have to be designed to appeal to gamers while standing out from the hundreds of other characters in the gaming world. Programmers need to ensure that gameplay is engaging yet accessible, and voice actors and actresses have the daunting task of making characters come to life. In the world of voice actors and actresses, there have been a few names that stand out thanks to how frequently they pop up in hit games. This includes Ashly Burch , Laura Bailey, and Troy Bak
